Frequently asked questions
The most common questions about Bluffers, with short answers. If you can't find what you're looking for, write to us.
What is Bluffers?
Bluffers is an online bluff card game for 2-4 players. On your turn you play 1-3 cards face down and claim they all match the table card. The next player either believes you or says “Call Bluff”; the cards are revealed and whoever was wrong pulls the trigger of their own revolver. The last player at the table wins. The game is played in a pastel low-poly scene set in a dim bar, with animal characters.
Is the game free?
Yes, you don't have to pay to play. Optional purchases only change how things look (costumes, gun skins, table themes, card backs and so on); they never affect the cards, the bullet or points. There are no loot boxes and no ads during matches.
Is there an age limit?
Yes, Bluffers is for players aged 16 and over. The game has cartoon-style violence with a revolver and a blood effect you can turn off in Settings. There is no real-money gambling, and points and rankings have no monetary value. The game runs an age check the first time it opens.
How many players, and how do I play online?
A table seats 2 to 4 players. You need an internet connection to play online. Use Create Room to open a private room and share the room code; your friends tap Join, enter the code and sit at the same table. The match is played on our servers, not on any player's phone.
How do I play with friends?
In the main menu, tap Create Room. In the lobby you'll see a big room code: tap it to copy it, or share the invite link. Your friends tap Join in the main menu and enter the code. Once at least two players are in, the room owner taps Start.
What does Add Bot do?
If the table isn't full, the room owner can add a bot with one tap, and can remove a bot added by mistake before the match starts. Matches played with bots send no points to the worldwide leaderboard; only online matches with at least two real players count (even if there are bots at the table).
Do I need internet?
You need an internet connection for online matches. Without one, you can practice against bots from the main menu; those matches only add to the total score on your device.
Which platforms is it on?
Android only, for now. Bluffers will be released on Google Play; there is no download link yet, and we'll announce the launch on the news page. If there is news about other platforms, we'll share it there too.
Which languages does the game speak?
The game is available in Turkish and English; menus and spoken card calls are in both languages. On first launch it follows your phone's language (English if it isn't Turkish), and you can change it in Settings. This website, on the other hand, is published in Turkish, English, Spanish and Italian.
What's in the store, and does it affect the game?
The store has items that only change how things look, such as new animals, costumes and costume patterns, gun skins, card backs and table themes. You earn Caps by playing, and Caps are never sold for money. You collect rewards with the Bar Pass. No purchase affects the cards, the bullet or points, and there are no loot boxes.
Do I need to sign up or create an account? Where is my progress kept?
No. No email address, phone number or password is asked for; you pick a player name and a costume and take a seat. When you connect to the internet, our servers create a random player ID for your device, and your points, store record and progress are kept in a profile backup tied to that ID. Important: in this version the backup is not linked to your Google account, so if you clear the game's data and reinstall, or switch phones, you may not be able to reach your old progress. Items you bought with money come back with the same Google account through Restore purchases.
How do I delete my data?
From inside the game: open Settings, tap the Delete my data row, read what will be deleted in the window and confirm (you need to be online). Your leaderboard record, your points and profile backup on our servers, your player ID and the game data on your device are deleted; they may stay visible on leaderboard screens for a few more minutes. Copies in encrypted backups disappear when the backup expires (at most about 6 months). If the game is no longer on your device, email info@bluffersgame.com with the subject “Bluffers data deletion request”, or choose “Data deletion” as the subject in the contact form; we'll find your record, delete it within 30 days at the latest and confirm by email. If you like, you can also ask for a copy of your data (JSON) before deletion. Details are on the data deletion page.
How do I report a player who cheats or insults others?
Tap the player's name in the lobby or at the table. If you choose Block, that player's messages and gestures are hidden on your device only. In Report you pick a reason and can add a short note; your report reaches our moderators together with that player's last chat messages (up to 10). Please report only real problems; knowingly sending a false report breaks the rules. You can also write to info@bluffersgame.com.
What happens if my connection drops?
The match doesn't stop; since the table runs on the server, nobody's connection can break it. When your turn comes, a move is played for you automatically, and when you come back you pick up where you left off. If you stay away for a very long time, you may not earn points from that match.
How do points and the leaderboard work?
You score points for where you finish: at a 4-player table 10, 6, 3 and 1; at a 3-player table 8, 4 and 1; at a 2-player table 5 and 1. Only the points from online matches with at least two real players go to the worldwide leaderboard; matches against bots only add to the total score on your device. Every calendar month is a season; your tier (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond) is shown in the main menu, and the season leaderboard resets at the start of each month.
How do I contact you?
You can write to info@bluffersgame.com or use the form on the contact page: the subject options cover support, bug reports, partnerships, press and data deletion. When reporting a bug, telling us your phone model and what you were doing at the time makes our job easier.
